We reach out to you today, following enquiries concerning the spread of COVID-19 (the new Coronavirus) and how it may impact us, our employees and you, our customers.
Good news – We’re pleased to confirm that we don’t have any COVID-19 cases in either our UK or Singapore offices.
Below are some points you’ll have no doubt heard from every business you forgot you’d given your email to. It is important so please take a moment to have a quick read.
In summary, we’re charging head-on into this challenge. We are eager to step up and have reacted positively to the steps we’ve had to put in below.
We will stay the course.
We will continue to serve you.
We will maintain our high standards.
We won’t be beaten down.
Of course, ensuring our employees, customers and suppliers are in a safe and healthy environment is our first priority.
Continuity
Our Business Continuity Plan is well established to address all credible and significant risks.
We’ve made the decision where possible to implement Martek@Home where the business will continue as usual.
Want to know what that looks like? Keep an eye on our LinkedIn page where we will update from various “home offices”.
Product inquiries and dispatch will remain unaffected, but certain service response times may be impacted. We will, of course, do all we can to mitigate any impact on business response times.
The business has decided to reduce the risk of exposure by limiting business travel and offering digital alternatives where possible. Your Account Manager will be in contact regarding upcoming face-to-face meetings to arrange a digital alternative.
Martek Marine Service Engineers will continue to service vessels, with increased precautions, and support customers where possible.
In the event the UK and/or Singapore governments require us to close our offices, we will comply.
Martek Marine are following both government and James Fisher and Sons guidance and will continue to update our Business Continuity Plan accordingly throughout the pandemic.
Delivery
Due to the current pandemic, some transit routes may experience additional delays. Martek Marine is monitoring the situation closely and working with couriers to minimise disruption, however, there may be delays outside of our control as this force majeure situation develops.
Customers should be aware that any delays outside of our control due to COVID-19 may impact their shipment dates and should plan ahead accordingly.
With these exceptional circumstances in mind, FastCalGas Delivery Guarantee will be discontinued until further notice. Martek Marine is monitoring the situation closely and Account Managers will provide current updates at the point of order. Terms and conditions are subject to change as this force majeure situation develops.
We remain fully committed to supporting your business throughout these challenging times.
Further information will be released on www.martek-marine.com and email when it becomes available.
