Getting to know the Martek team – Dave O’Rourke

We have a fantastic team of people here at Martek Marine and we would like to introduce everyone to you. As part of our “Getting to know the Martek team” series, here’s our next team member Dave O’Rourke.

Dave is our Warranty Co-ordinator based at Martek HQ in the UK and we asked him a few questions to help you get to know him better…

How long have you worked at Martek Marine?

I’ve been with Martek for three years now.

What do you love about Martek?

The freedom and trust afforded to people to allow them to do the best job they can, and the constant encouragement to be a better version of me.

Describe an average day in the office?

No day is average. Every day is a challenge, and you never quite know what will be thrown at you. The fact that no day is the same means a lot to me.

What has been your proudest moment at Martek?

Successfully applying for the Warranty Coordinator position, a position which allows me to learn and grow every day, and play a key part in how our customers view us.

What are your main interests outside of the office?

I like all things football, have a keen interest in film, and take every opportunity to socialize with family and friends.

What are you known for?

Hopefully being a bit of joker, not taking myself too seriously, and always being available to help anyone!

What was the last gift you gave someone?

I really don’t know! It’s probably a bad reflection on me that I don’t! Maybe I should buy more gifts……
