M202 Radiation Dose Rate Monitor
In order to protect your crew from exposure and harmful effects of radiation and to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, radiation dose rates must be carefully monitored and controlled.
MLIT has developed guidelines on radiation measurement for export containers and ships in port in response to the need for information on radiation dose rate for containers and ships from Japan. Radiation measurement in the port of Tokyo and Yokohama is now in place. The full guideline can be accessed here.
The M202 Radiation Monitor has been specifically designed to combine intrinsic safety with rugged yet lightweight construction and provides additional key operational features such as personal dose integration and peak dose rate memory.
The Radiation Monitor offers the following important features:
- Intrinsicly safe.
- Detects x-rays and gamma rays down to 60keV.
- Meets Japanese dose rate monitoring requirements
- Digital doserate indication: 0-10,000μSv/h.
- Displays down to 0.1μSv/h.
- Integrated dose function – allows the instrument to be used as a personal dosimeter.
- Peak doserate memory – allows maximum exposure levels to be recorded remotely enabling operators to minimise their dose uptake.
- 12 month calibrations
- Back light facility.
- Audible response with adjustable alarm thresholds.
